FTfm’s page-3 story Fund Giants Accused of Withholding Diversity Data questioned the unwillingness of some of the world’s largest investment companies to share details about the gender and ethnic make-up of their fund boards.
Written by Owen Walker, the article names top fund management houses that refused to share such information or provided only partial information when contacted by BoardIQ, a Financial Times’ publication for US mutual fund directors.
Bev Shah commented in the article: “We need to get our houses in order where diversity is concerned. This isn’t going away. The world is changing, clients are watching. Hiding this information just makes us look bad as an industry.”
